Neither do I have anything on these two daughters. Don Bowman descends from one of the daughters who married a Pfoutz. Gale ************* Here's what I have gathered on the children of Elder Martin Gaby - #2 - Susan (Susanna) Gaby (1767-1855) married Peter Pfoutz - lived in Montgomery Co OH (Don's line?) (4 children - 3 [Mary, Jacob, Susan] remained in Montgomery Co - one [Martin] came to Indiana - where?) #8 - Esther Gaby (1777-1849) married John (Johannes) Pfoutz - they lived in Maryland - Esther was buried at Union Bridge MD (Carroll Co), Johannes died at Johnsville MD (Frederick Co) (4 miles away), which would be the Beaver Dam Church (half way in between) -. (sons of Jacob Pfoutz/Mary Bach) ************ #4 - Isaac Gaby (1771- ) - m. Magdalena Frantz - to Botetourt Co VA - to Washington Co TN - 3 ch #5 - Jacob Gaby (1772-1826) - m. Lydia Bashore - lived Berks Co PA - 7 ch #7 - Daniel Gaby (1776-1855) - m. Susanna Schneider - lived Berks Co PA #10 - Salome Gaby (1781-1867) - m. Daniel Fiant - to Indiana Territory - to Fayette Co IN I do not have much information on: #1 - Catherine (1766-1855) married a Stump #3 - Abraham (1769-1830) - 1/m - Elizabeth Schneider 2/m Catherine Rauts #6 - Mary (1774- #9 - Martin Jr (1779 married Susan Traut #11 - Elizabeth (1783- #13 - Solomon (1787- married Elizabeth Price - a note on the #12 John Gaby (1785-c1835) - married Hannah - came to Indiana - lived near #10 Salome Gaby Fiant - in 1816 record - lived west of Brownsville His only child on whom I have information was Susannah - (1st ch?) born 9 June 1802 - in Maryland John was born 15 Mar 1785 - which would make him just 17 years old when Susannah was born also, he was not living up in Berks Co PA, but down in Frederick Co/Carroll Co MD at the time. (with or near his sister Esther?) John's wife - Hannah - is somewhat older than he (1820 Census - born between 1770 and 1780) - or the decade older than John. I really would like to know who she was - I suggest that we investigate the marriages in Frederick Co MD - about 1802, when John got married - probably there. Now - why was he with his sister, instead of up at his home? An answer - could be why my ancestress - gr gr grandmother and her twin sister were living with an aunt - 50 miles from home - when each of them had a baby (at 16 - out of wedlock). Back then, family shipped a "problem" to another community (family connection) to avoid too much gossip. (my mother's aunt told her to tell me - to "shut my mouth!" - when I asked) And John's father was Elder Michael Gaby! just cogitating - need info Merle
