I've am looking for information on sons of Elder Martin Gaby - Martin Gaby Jr and John- The Four Mile Church had two early settlers on the Whitewater river, on the west edge of the "Gore" of Indiana Territory... One was Daniel Fiant (wife: Salome Gaby - youngest daughter of Elder Martin Gaby) - who settled where the Delaware Indian Road, near now Yankeetown. Another was John Gaby (wife: Hannah) - south of Daniel Fiant. both families moved west into Fayette Co IN about 1834, after the 20 Mile Purchase - near Springerville IN. John has been suggested as son of Martin Gaby Jr - but if my dates are near correct - this is not probable: Martin GABY Jr................m......................Susan TRAUT b........c1768- John GABY......(c1781-c1835)...m.................Hannah... the suggested birth dates of John and Martin are only 13 years apart Is John Gaby - here - the son of Elder Martin Gaby? Merle, The names and birth dates of Elder Martin & Susanna (Price) Gaby Sr.'s children was published in Brethren Roots, summer issue 2004, p 40. In order they were Catharine, Susan, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob Mary, Daniel, Esther, Martin Jr., Salome, Elizabeth, John and Solomon born between 1766 and 1787.
