    3. I'm trying to find out about Elizabeth, born ca 1730, supposedly the d/o Jacob & Elizabeth (Ernst) Rummel. She married Gasper/Casper Weaver in 1750 in Lancaster Co, Pa. I'd like to know the source that connects Jacob & Elizabeth with Elizabeth Jr. Were they Brethren? I saw that identification Jacob Rummel/Elizabetha Ernst - immigrant 1748-49 - had 5 sons - and one daughter There was no identificaiton of the daughter - until this appeared, but it is in the right locale - I have no knowledge of the source, and I would have asked on the "Rummel Family Forum", but my server has changed and I can't get back on the list again (I forgot how I first registered) I am working on the George family (just finished indexing all the names that I have - c400 pages of just names) - now I'm cross-referencing - to get intermarriages. As far as I can determine - the Rummel's were Lutheran/Reformed - until they came to Ohio (Youngstown area). there some descendants later became Brethren. My line - my gr grandfather - Isaiah Rummel - himself never joined - but married into the Stump family at Nappanee IN, who were Brethren. All the children became Brethren, and most of us are still Brethren (Church of the Brethren or First Brethren). Merle C Rummel
