A number of the Brethren (German Baptist) who came to Knox Tp, CCO came from the Mill Creek congregation in Woodworth, Mahoning Co, Oh. This small crossroad's town was located near the intersecting township lines of Springfield, Beaver, Boardman & Poland. The congregation in Knox Tp was called the Sandy congregation and covered a large area. The meeting itself was called the Reading Meeting. Many of the chn of the early settlers moved westward along US Rt 30 and I've found CCO names in most of the counties that Rt 30 crosses, all the way to Kosciusko Co and also the northern tier of Ind counties.
