    3. Pat: Here is the information I found at the LCHS library in Lancaster. Williams, F. Colin; The Records of First Reformed Church, Lancaster, PA, 1730-1980;(April 2002)(Repository: Lancaster County Historical Society Library, Lancaster, PA); Vol.6, pg 172 Marr 15 Feb 1750 Rummel, Anna Elizabeth and Weber, Caspar Unfortunately, the extractions contained in these volumes is very minimal. I don't know if that is because the only information recorded was name of parties and type and date of event, or whether it was because the editor simply hadn't the time or resources to more comprehensive job of it. I wasn't looking for Webers, so I didn't investigate the birth records there. I would recommend that you search under the name Weber, rather than Weaver when searching in the church records. Both the First Reformed and the Trinity Lutheran records were maintained in German only until quite some time after this marriage occurred. And you should definitely search in the Lutheran records as well as the Reformed records. Some families seem to have gone back and forth between the churches. Also, in the very early years of Lancaster, Trinity Lutheran was the only German language church, so a lot of people from other denominations got married there. Good luck searching. Ginni Morgan researching Brenner, Stech, Rummel, Rudesil, etc. -----Original Message----- >From: Pat McArtor <[email protected]> >Sent: Apr 24, 2011 12:35 PM >To: [email protected] >Subject: [BRE] Rummels, 1750s, Lancaster Co, Pa > >I'm trying to find out about Elizabeth, born ca 1730, supposedly the d/o Jacob & Elizabeth (Ernst) Rummel. She married Gasper/Casper Weaver in 1750 in Lancaster Co, Pa. I'd like to know the source that connects Jacob & Elizabeth with Elizabeth Jr. >Were they Brethren? >Pat McArtor >
