Two calculators that I use are http://www.halfhill.com/inflation.html (goes back to 1666) It says that $10K in 1770 is about the same as $536,330.47 today. Another one that goes back only to 1800 is http://www.westegg.com/inflation/ The one that Sherry posted seems to be an expired domain. Craig Alan Myers
