    1. Re: [BRE] Eiler Questions
    2. William Thomas
    3. Not sure if you are talking the same family, but Henry Eller of the Beaverdam Congregation, was a friend of Daniel Seiler. Both are also listed in the Conestoga Congregation, both lived near each other in present day Lebanon County, and appear to have moved to Maryland about the same time. The Seiler family was likely Amish or Mennonite prior to becoming Brethren. Have nothing else on the Eller family beside's this short bio. Can anyone document that Conrad Eiler was Brethren other than the fact that he was on the ship? (Incidentally, I have not seen John S. Eiler's work other than his Eiler entry in the Brethren Encyclopedia, but I would be surprised if he didn't get the idea that Conrad Eiler was Brethren from Martin Grove Brumbaugh (1899) who assumed that all Ship Allen passengers were Brethren.) 3. Question- does anybody how the Fetters' of Miami Valley area related to Jacob Fetter(s) (1816-1898) (cousin Eunice's was married to Lee Roy Fetters) family? Also does anybody have more on descendants of Jacob and 1st wife Marie Hagen? I already have descendants of his second wife, Catherine Brumbaugh (1824-19). Only thing i have seen was Jacob and Marie's child thar married a Rairgigh, and brother John Fetter died in 1905, around 57 years of age (did he have children?). Sadly this week a young Fetters died at age 42 and a Vetter died as well young also. Thanks.

    3. I forgot to mention that Rev. Stanley Bond married Mary Opal Eikenberry (1898-about1990), and Mary's mother (forget her name right now) was daughter of Eli Ullery (1839-) and Mary Royer. Some of Eli's other children descendants still attend Paonia Christian Church, as one emailed me few weeks ago.

    2. The Cheraw Church would have been in Bent County, between McClave and Hasty. The building was purchased by the Cloverleaf (McClave) Dunkard Brethren after their organization in that area. After remodeling it has continued to serve as their meeting house. 1. [BRE] Colorado Churches (Western Slope)
    2. In my copy of "History of the Churches of the Brethren in Colorado 1874-1957" by Blanche B Frantz, I checked the list of Colorado COB's, which are listed by the congregation's name and not the town. Paonia is on the Western Slope, and I thought I might recognize the names of Western Slope congregations, but I didn't see one I recognized as being near Paonia or even near Delta. The Western Slope congregations I found on the list are: Fruita (my husband's home church), Grand Junction, Glade Park (west of Fruita), Grand Valley (between Fruita & G J in an area known as Appleton), Mt Garfield/Palisade. All of those are in Mesa County. The rest of the congregations listed seem to be on the Eastern Slope, but there are some "mission points" whose names didn't suggest a location to me:. Cheraw, for one, doesn't appear on the map at the front of the book but is listed as an organized COB from the 1920's to the 1930's. I did check the section of biographies but found nobody named Bond. There is not an index for the book. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Jan T **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers.
