Marc, It is my belief at this point that the Breedloves came from the Yorkshire area of England. This is not the usual place of origin for people emigrating to Virginia, but Captain John Smith came from this area. There is a family named Broadlove with the same given names used be the early Breedloves in Lincolnshire in 1730. I have ordered some parish records from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. I want to search these records for further clues, but I do believe these are the ancestors of Charles. Someone told me there were Breedloves who fought for England in the Revolutionary War.
