In my searches I came across some Breedloves in Madison County, MS and do not know how they may fit in with my bunch (Thomas W. and his son's John and Leonard) I am probably just missing a clue here, can anyone help? On a microfilm for Tax Rolls for Madison County, MS I found the following Breedloves: 1849 BREEDLOVE, N. A. (did not copy any further information from this record) 1868 BREEDLOVE, A. B. the best that I could decipher the records it had: Value of watches, 1/2 of 1 per cent and had the figure 750 below that; rifle, gun, etc......50 cents = 1; males ....between 21 and 55....two dollars = 1; the last column was state tax and it had 3.25 BREEDLOVE, W. W. for his records it looked like: amount of sales of merchandise by registered merchants or dealers of goods....3 tenths of one per cent = 10.700 (? did not know if that was a period or a comma); rifles, shotguns, etc.... 50 cents = 1; males.....between 21 and 55....two dollars = 1; last column was state tax and it read 32.10 If nothing else - maybe this will help someone else.
