    3. Gang, Today (July 1), BREEDLOVE-L is starting it's third year on-line! Here are some silly statistics: Current number of subscribers: 93 Messages posted since 7/1/96 (including this one): 520 Subscribed the longest: Patty Rich (since 7/3/96) [we had two others: Erich Mehnert and Bert Smith, but they both dropped off mid-June] Subscribed the shortest: Tom Breedlove <trrdlve@capital.net> subscribed earlier this year, and his e-mail address went bad so fast that the welcome message bounced! Subscribed from farthest away: Gzrenyam <gzrenyam@public1.guangzhou.gd.cn> who subscribed from China, evidently -- stayed on the digest for one week, then unsubbed. Other news: - The updated and re-tweaked welcome message is now available -- new subscribers get it automatically (so if you're seeing this, you can't get it unless you ask for it). The biggest change is the inclusion of the new policy instituted by Rootsweb regarding non-plain text format e-mails and attachments (some folks snuck in between my bulletin and the updated welcome -- so inquire if curious). For folk who have been subscribed for over a year (say, 15 of us), you probably should ask for the new welcome since it's _radically_ different than the bare-bones version issued when we made the switchover from MAISER to RootsWeb. - I mentioned about a year ago (or more) that I would post my "matchmaking" list. This is a list that lists researchers and their e-mails who are in the same line or researching the same people. It'll go out in a day or so. - I'm still looking for subscribers (and non-subscribers) who have personal web pages devoted to their Breedlove research. I have put up a page <http://pages.prodigy.com/VSVE92A/breemail.html> that contains a short list of these. Let me know if yours is missing! here's to good things in the year ahead.
