I am sure the messa Marilyn Owen sent re witnesses signatures was correct. I have done genealogy for 30 yrs-and I have corresponded with Marilyn for 20 yrs-she is one of the most organized genealogists I know-certainly more than me. Another one was Olive Breedlove Smith, decd, I told her I thought my Lowery's were part Indian and perhaps the Breedlove's were too-she lived in FL but she asked to exchange snapshots which we did- she said- see you have blue eyes, brown hair- we look alike. Cant remember what I did with her picture. I have 3 gr ch with beautiful brown eyes. Anyway none of us have ever been able to prove the Native American blood in our particular Lowery branch..there were many and some even Laclede Co. Mo. but we are still working on it. Ellen Byrne
