Marriage and Death Notices from the "Southern Christian Advocate", 1837-1860 (Sutro F 208 H6 v.1): p. 262 Issue of April 2, 1852: "Died, in Tallapoosa co., Ala., Mrs. Lucy R. Breedlove, daughter of Thomas and Sarah Stembridge, formerly of Hancock, Ga., wife of Rev. Wm. Breedlove, in the 57th year of her age ... left husband and several children. . . Wm. B. Neal." p. 264 Issue of April 23, 1852: "Died, in Tallapoosa Co., Ala., 17th of Feb., Mrs Lucy R. Breedlove, consort of the Rev. W. W. Breedlove, in the 57th of her age. . . ." It would be interesting to find a copy of the "Southern Christian Advocate" and read the entire obituaries. You can see that the notice was posted twice. I believe I have read that this paper is predominantly a Methodist newspaper. I would like to know the names of the children of William Stembridge and Kindness Breedlove. William Stembridge left a will, but by then Kindness was dead and he was remarried. We could possibly discover the names of some of the offspring to see how Thomas tied in to this couple. Martha
