    3. RE: the letter inserted in the Hancock Co.,Ga. deeds book 1794-1802: dated 1 Nov.1955 Savannah Ga. Office of the Clerk Hancock County Sparta, Ga. I was in your office yesterday asking about the Breedlove and Foster families. Found in the Breedlove records the following: In 1790, in Prince Edward Co., of Virginia, William Watkins Breedlove, son of John and Elizabeth Watkins Breedlove married Sarah H. Foster. Her brother Samuel Foster married William Watkins Breedloves sister Elizabeth Breedlove. They both moved to Hancock County, Ga. A case of brother and sister marrying brother and sister and this is the connection of the two families. John Breedlove married Elizabeth Watkins in 1765 in Ludenberg Co.,Va. She was born 1746 and died 1821. He died 1799 in Charlotte Co.,Va. This won't help anyone in the Breedlove line for so far we don't have John's records--but the Foster line could be followed. In discussing these two families you said you were not aware of their connection, so this might be of help to someone asking for information. There is a book printed giving the Watkins and Herndon line. Elizabeth Watkins Breedlove's wife of John, mother was a Herndon. (illegible) off they can go in that direction, but I wanted to give you the Foster connections. Thank you for helping me and I'm sure I'll be with you again. Sincerely, Mrs. Julian D. Kelly 209 E. 45th St. Savannah, Ga. This came from a book compiled by Helen and Tim Marsh, printed by the SOUTHERN HISTORICAL PRESS, Greenville, SC., 1997, titled LAND DEED GEN. OF HANCOCK, CO.,GA. ================================================ From: Linda Banwarth <linda.banwarth@worldnet.att.net> > Mamie, > I, for one, am not familiar with that letter. Can you transcribe and > post to the list or is it too long?
