    1. [BREEDLOVE-L] Land Patent Reports from BLM
    2. MS CAROLE L COLQUEHOUN
    3. Hi, Help. Too much data. Looking in the BLM Land Patent Reports for Missouri, I found a whole lot of Breedloves. Signature Date: Given Name: 26 Aug 1905 Allen 9 Feb 1901 Anderson S. 6 Apr 1898 Andrew J. 1 Nov 1859 Clay 22 Jan 1895 Clayton H. 1 Jun 1859 Columbus 10 Mar 1856 " 30 Oct 1857 " 15 May 1857 " 1 Apr 1856 Edward N. 1 Apr 1856 " 1 Sep 1856 " 3 Jan 1856 Elizabeth 1 Jul 1852 James 15 Apr 1853 " 1 Jul 1874 " 25 Apr 1898 " 9 Apr 1892 " 15 Dec 1890 John M. 30 Jan 1890 John W. 13 Feb 1899 John W. 1 Sep 1858 John 1 Sep 1858 " 1 Sep 1858 " 1 Jun 1859 " 3 Apr 1848 " 9 Apr 1892 Mark C. 10 Jan 1840 Martin 1 Jan 1849 Simpson 1 Jul 1861 Spencer 30 Jun 1879 " 17 Dec 1901 Thomas d. 5 Apr 1883 Warren J. 30 Oct 1857 William A. 15 Dec 1857 William M. 10 Oct 1856 " " 15 Apr 1853 William 10 Mar 1856 " 1 Jun 1859 " 1 Jun 1859 " I found Warren J[ackson] Breedlove in Range 17-W, Township 34-N, Sect. 1. He was in the same Township and Range as all the Lowry, Mullican(e), Mizer, and Bowles relatives. They were in Sections 1, 2, and 3. I plotted them out and found out that they were all neighbors (we knew that by the census records, but looking at the plot brought it all home). I also got the neighbors' names, for future reference. I have the Doc. Nr., Acc. No., Aliquot Parts, Sect., Township, and Range for all of the Breedloves. The question is, what do I do with all of this information, and who do I give it to when I don't know for sure who some of these people are. Some of them are easy. But, for instance, how do we figure out who that Elizabeth Breedlove is? She is, probably, the wife of one of the Breedloves, not the child. Could she be Elizabeth, who died in Kentucky? Martin's property, confusingly enough, was not in Laclede county where one would expect to find it, by the way. This has been tedious because the BLM records don't like me sitting in them for hours at a time. (My computer is slow.) So, every once in a while, everything freezes or the error screen starts coming up. But, I have been sick with a bad virus since I returned from my trip, so I haven't felt like doing much but sitting, and this just takes sitting. :-) As with any research, deciphering it and putting it where it belongs is going to take 10 times the time it took to get it. Any thoughts on all of this? Carole
