There is a book entitled The HERNDON - HUNT and ALLIED FAMILIES by Edna Hilliard White Wood and Lillie Booth Nesbitt printed in 1930 by Bynum Printing Company - Raleigh. I found it at my library, copied a few pages in it, did not copy the index. Also there is a series on The HERNDON FAMILY OF VIRGINIA by John Goodwin Herndon, Ph. D. I copied a few pages from Volume One : The First Three Generations. You might find information on your Herndon in one of those books. As best I can figure it out, Edward Herndon b. 1678 in New Kent Cty, VA married Mary Waller and had several children, one of these, Martha b. about 1710 m. William Watkins they had 11 children according to the book by John G. Herndon. Elizabeth b. 1746 m John Breedlove, Mary b. 1741 m. Benjamin Breedlove.
