I would appreciate your proof or justification for James and Kindness being the parents of Elizabeth, Sina, and Kindness in Lunenburg Co, VA. >From 1751 to 1791, I find no James and Kindness mentioned together. I do find James and Mary mentioned together at least five times in legal records. Of most interest is Lunenburg Co, VA Deed Book 3, p.364: FULL QUOTE: Sep 1, 1773 from James Breedlove of the Parish of Cornwall & C, to John Wilkerson of same, for the natural love which he has for the said John Wilkerson (who has married one of the daughters of the said James Breedlove) and also 5 shillings, a certain tract of land in C bounded by Rivers. Signed - James (B his mark) Breadlove. Wit - John Sammon, William Sammon, John Pettus. Mary, the wife of James Breedlove, relinquished her right of dower. Recorded Nov 1, 1773. UNQUOTE ALSO, from Lunenburg Co Deeds, On Oct 9, 1788 Wm Stembridge of Charlotte Co to John Rivers for 100 acres bounded by John Rivers, John Page, deceased, Joshua Johnson, Peter Ward, Siney Breedlove, John Wilkinson, deceased. Sina was apparently married to a John Wilkerson by 1773. James Breedlove sold land to Sine Breedlove of Charlotte Co, Va on Apr 11, 1787, implying John was deceased. Sina Breedlove married Stephen Shelton on Jun 06, 1792. I think this changes things a bit. Bill Breedlove
