While reinvestigating the Breedlove links to the Cherokees, I found in my notes that Caleph Ellis Breedlove, his daughter Mary Alyce Breedlove Trent and his brother Spencer O. Breedlove all applied in the Eastern Cherokee Court of Claims while residing in Pueblo, Colorado. As Caleb and Spencer are sons of Spencer Breedlove and Sarah Ellis, I am wondering how they could make a claim of Cherokee descent. I don't see anything in the ancestry of either Spencer Breedlove or his wife/1st cousin Sarah Ellis that indicates any Cherokee blood, but maybe I'm overlooking something. Does anyone have the complete application for any of the Breedlove's on the Guion Miller Rolls? Tom King
