Dear Martha, Tom, Carolyn, etal: I think I need to clarify my connection to Breedloves and Parkers. My ancestor was John Breedlove who married Elizabeth Watkins. Their son, William W. Breedlove (Sr.) married Sarah H. Foster and had (among eight children) Lucy Foster Breedlove. Lucy married Asa Hatley Parker, youngest son of Lewis Parker and the brother of Nancy Parker, who married John Breedlove. Lucy and Asa's son, James Anthony Parker, was my grandfather. I have accepted Hope Breedlove's records concerning Nancy and John Breedlove because they fit my Parker records - And all the research of many years simply cannot place Nancy in Albemarle County, VA at the time others say she married John Breedlove. As far as I can tell, my Parkers were never in Albemarle. And, as far as I know, they never had a connection with Breedloves until they met in Georgia. My Parkers were in North Carolina as early as 1752 - and, before that, the part of Virginia that became North Carolina. They began to move to GA. 1786 and 1791. Inspite of my assertion, if facts prove me wrong, I will gladly acquiesce. I have asked for information regarding the marriage record in Albemarle and for information regarding the records of John Breedlove in Montgomery Co., Alabama. No reply as yet. Please tell me where I am wrong! Betty P.S. Have some Parker information to share.
