Tom Jones forwarded his message from Theodore with the old story about five brothers who came from England. I've heard the story too, though never with the twist that the five brothers chose names having to do with 'love." Has anyone actually tried to investigate the origin of the family tale? It's interesting that the Breedloves went in some different directions from Virginia...west to Illinois, wasn't one? My branch went down to Georgia, then my gggrandfather went to Alabama then Arkansas. Did the story about the five brothers travel with each branch of the family, and if it did, could there possibly be some grain of truth there? It's an interesting thought.....Especially since the Breedlove name itself appears to have originated in Virginia (even thought I've read the different speculations of what possible names it could have been derived from).
