I just found and subscribed to the Breedlove List this morning. I'm pretty much a newcomer to research - have been at it off and on for about a year, but have found some great information. I am a decendant of Thomas Watson Breedlove, who was born in GA, lived in AL, then moved to AR in 1863. Do not yet know when he died, although I know it was after 1878. I have a point of confusion which I hope someone can clear up. I have found Thomas Watson Breedlove in both Alabama and Arkansas censuses with a wife named Sarah Bingham Breedlove. Yet I have an article from the 11/2/1941 Arkansas Gazette, "Glimpses of Yesterday", profiling my great-grandfather William Thomas Breedlove. In it, the author states that WT's mother was Mary Elizabeth Bingham. Does anyone know anything about this branch of the tree? I don't know if Thomas Watson had two Bingham wives, or if the author of this article just had mistaken information. I've never heard of Sarah being a nickname. Thomas Watson also married Virginia (Reynolds) Hildreth in the 1870's. My sister and I have a set of five journals she wrote from 1865 to 1878 while living in Camden, AR, which we are currently transcribing. Although her entries after the marriage become much less frequent, she often mentions members of the family living in Arkansas and Louisiana. I'm in Georgia, so my research is mostly limited to the Internet and mail. Am looking forward to seeing what you all have learned. Jan Morris
