Dear Tom King & Carol Wilkerson, Tom, you've done some great detective work in discovering the origins of Wm. M. Breedlove. I agree, it surely looks like he was the first son of David Watts & Nancy Breedlove. Carol, if Wm. M. was born in 1811, in the area which is now Simpson Co., KY, it was not Simpson County then--Simpson was formed in 1819. Depending upon the location of the David Watts Breedlove farm, they were either in Logan or Warren Co. I suspect it was Warren, as many Breedloves settled that county. David W. & Nancy must have been among the first [if not THE first] Breedloves to come to Middle Kentucky. I know that David W.'s parents, William & Mary Watts Breedlove, did not come until some few years later. Carol, the graves of William & Mary Watts Breedlove are still extant in Simpson Co.
