It's always seemed amazing to me, however, that Thomas & Sarah have been credited with having eleven sons and NO daughters at all. I think it's quite possible that they could have had a daughter [or two] who married young, whose name has been lost to us. I notice that Martin Breedlove married Elizabeth Carr, exactly ten years later. Because of the similiarity of names between the two couples, I'm wondering if YANCY somehow got confused and there actually was no Matthew Breedlove & Mary Carr--I've never found anything else on Matthew. On the Benjamin Breedlove, son of Thomas & Sarah, I have this in my records concerning him: This Benjmain Breedlove stated on his Revolutionary War pension application that he enlisted in Albemarle Co., in 1781 at age 19, but was born in Orange Co., VA in 1762. These places and dates coincide with known dates and places of residence of Thomas & Sarah. There was another, older Benjamin Breedlove who resided in Lunenburg [later Charlotte Co.], VA and who married in Lunenburg in 1762, Mary Watkins. This latter Benjamin had a brother John, who married Elizabeth Watkins, sister of Mary. Marilyn Owen
