For Lisa Newton and Tom King: I am unable to corroborate the "Wright County History and Families 1841-1991 Vol. 1 p. 213" account and your parentage for James Yancy Breedlove. FROM THE GREENE CO, MO PROBATE FILE 476, BOX 112, a James K. Dameron appears before the probate judge on May 03, 1852 as administrator for the estate of a Charles Breedlove (not on the 1850 Greene Co, MO census) and names Charles' heirs as Mildred Ann (probably wife), Mary E. (probably daughter), and James Y. (probably son). Is this your James Yancy? This particular court record has cleared up some Charles Breedlove confusion for me. This Charles Breedlove signs a note with John and Spencer (both on the 1850 Greene Co, MO census) for the support of Eliza (in John's household). James (not on the 1850 Green Co, MO census) is a creditor of this Charles and later signs a note for the support of Eliza. I believe these are all children of James Breedlove and Nancy Simmons back in Rutherford Co, NC. Mildred Ann Breedlove (probably widow) purchases from the appraised inventory of the Charles Breedlove estate, along with Spencer and John. JAMES K. DAMERON, administrator for this Charles Breedlove estate, may be a brother, more likely a father of Amelia Dameron, age 20 and wife of the Charles Breedlove on the 1850 Greene Co, MO census. WEBSTER CO, MO PROBATE FILE #1723 names this Charles Breedlove as an heir of William Breedlove, deceased Oct 19, 1858. This Charles Breedlove dies before the final estate disbursement in 1871. I do not have this complete file, but by looking at the previous payment dates, one could probably better define the date of his death. This William Breedlove (of TN, AL, NC) and the James Breedlove (of Rutherford Co, NC) are brothers, sons of Charles Breedlove (and Sally Fletcher) of Rutherford Co, NC (TN and AL).
