O., does anyone know who she might have been? Judge Niles practiced law in Kosciusko, MS. He was born in Vermont and came to Attala County as a young man. The diary covers Nile's life and education in Vermont, teaching in Ohio and Tennessee and his life in Mississippi. Also accounts of trips to Canada, Ohio and NC, California, and Texas.
