DANVILLE, Va. - Lucy Breedlove Bennett, 77, of 15284 Mount Cross Road, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at Danville Regional Medical Center. Born Feb. 22, 1923 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of Marsellous Breedlove and Cora Tarpley. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one son, Jessie Morrison of Dry Fork; two daughters, Frances Walton of Dry Fork and Rosa Martin of Danville; two brothers, Floyd Breedlove and William E. Tarpley, both of Danville; five sisters, Hope F. Breedlove, Mary White, Mattie Cabell and Bendie Hall, all of Danville and Della Brown of Buffalo, N.Y.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from Bibleway Cathedral with Apostle L.G. Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. A viewing will be held from 4 p.m. Saturday at Cunningham & Hughes Funeral Home. The family will be at the residence.
