He was listed on the 1900 census with a wife Margaret E. and daughter Fannie, then in 1910 with wife Rufina so it's possible that Mary was the daughter of his first wife and not his 2nd and being so young Mary may not even remember who her mother really was. Leonard must have been born after 1920 as he is not listed as a child in this family in 1900, 1910 or 1920.
