Jan Morris: My Della Breedlove came from William Uriah & Hester Millsaps Breedlove and they were from Newton Co Ar and William is the son of Irvin Eldridge Breedlove from Warren Co NC b. 1832 d. 1900 in Thayer Mo.He went from Warren Co NC to Morgan Co Tn and then to Newton Co Ar. He marr. Elizabeth Snow the dau of Solomon and Mary Coe Snow. I have not been able to place my Irvin Breedlove with his family in NC. I know that he had a brother named William and that is all that I have that i can prove. Having just come home from the hospital after having a cancerous carcinoma removed from behind my ear, I wonder just how prevalent cancer and skin cancer is in the other Breedlove lines. I know my 3G-grandfather Ira Meade Breedlove had skin cancer as it shows on his neck in the pictures I have of him and his obituary in 1879 says he died of that dread disease cancer. Very few other descendants of Ira have had it to my knowledge and one died of cancer having worked all his life in a nuclear power plant in Washington so it's hard to tell if he got cancer from hererity or from his job. Doctors have told me my skin cancer came from being light complected and the overexposure to the sun down here in Texas. I hardly go outside but a couple of times a day just to walk the dogs, but it will be with a hat from now on.
