Breedlove 1918-1999 OK This is no relation to me that I know of. A friend who has connections to OK sent it to me. She knew I had Breedloves and thought there might be a connection. In any case, I will share it with the list. --Carol ***************************************** Charles A. Breedlove ---Sunday July 18, 1999 Muskogee Phoenix & Times Democrat, page 8, section B. Funeral services for Charles A. Breedlove, 80, of Muskogee will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesady July 20, 1999 at Rowsey Chapel (St. Paul United Methodist Church) with Rev. Dick House and Rev. Roland Humphrey officiating. Pallbearers will be Dr. Bartis Kent, George Lange, Dr. David Lester, Bob Montgomery, C. A. Overstreet, Howard Smith, and Vance Deaton. Burial will be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Mr. Breedlove was born December 24, 1918 in Braggs, OK, the son of Charles Breedlove, Sr. and Jessie (Wyche) Breedlove and died Thursday, July 15, 1999 in Muskogee. After graduating from Central High School in Muskogee, he went on to earn a degree in Ag-Econ from Oklahoma A & M College in 1942 and was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He served in the United States Navy as a Catalina or PBY pilot, and while in the South Pacific he served with distinction. He was volunteer for the Peace Corp in 1966 and worked several years after the war for Oklahoma State University. Later, he went on to work for Collins Radio Company in Dallas, TX and Houston, TX. He took a crash course in Spanish and worked in Peru for the Government. Mr. Breedlove retired early and handled his own prudent investments while living with and caring for his parents until their death. After a career with private industry, and working for the U. S. Government that took him around the United States and to a number of other countries, Mr. Breedlove established the Charles A. Breedlove Endowed Professorship in Agribusiness. He has left the OSU Foundation a generous part of his estate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the OSU Scholarship Fund in his name at Oklahoma State University Foundation, P.O.
