He would have been 70 yrs old when he was listed in 1841-indicating that if he was to be exempt from listing because of age he would have so been in 1841, and his lack of being on the list in 1842 would not be because of his age. (from memory I think he was b 1770-would have to look it up- Ellen)

Census records seem to indicate that Martin had more than 14 children, though there may have been children's families included in his household on the censuses that make up the large numbers. Attached is a Family Group Sheet for this family. Are there any other documents around for Martin outside of William's pension application where Martin swears his brother was in the war? There is another child I think belongs to this family and that is James Breedlove who was born in 1819 in Kentucky who married 1852 to Rebecca Corbet in Pope Co., IL and lived very close to Thomas Carr Breedlove's widow Sally Trevellion Breedlove Glass and to Thomas & Sally's son Mathew in Pope County. I am not positive of the Milton and Nathaniel that I have included. Am certain there was a son Nathaniel and these two lived close to or next to each other on different censuses in Missouri. Given their births in 1814 and 1812 in Kentucky, the only Breedlove's having children at that time were Martin and Elizabeth, and David W. & Nancy.
