Yes, that was what I was looking for - someone else sent it to me yesterday - I emailed with no response. She may be out of town for the long weekend. Has anyone received one of the CD's yet? If so, were they helpful? Regards, Linda
Linda I believe this is what you are looking for. It is from the list on Jan 17th this year. Becky "Just finished transcribing Hope Perry Breedlove's book "BREEDLOVE GENEALOGICAL HISTORY" (it took abt 9 months to finish and index). It's getting a few finishing touches, then will be ready to be seen! So, if anybody wants a copy (on disk), it'll cost $15. If you want a copy (also on disk) of the "index of characters", it'll cost $15, too. Will send word as soon as it's completely finished and ready to be presented! If you'd like a copy, please let me know. I'll need your mailing address as well as your name and email address and a money order for the correct amount. My email is: Joni Breedlove <jledb@bellatlantic.net>" >Thank you for your kind response, Tom. >Somewhere I had gotten the idea that it was a lady that was going to do the >Hope Perry Breedlove book on CD. That was the one I was talking about. Interesting site Documenting the American South Main Page http://metalab.unc.edu/docsouth/index.html The diary of Judge Niles is online at the site, it mentions a Mrs. Breedlove of N. O., does anyone know who she might have been? Judge Niles practiced law in Kosciusko, MS. He was born in Vermont and came to Attala County as a young man. The diary covers Nile's life and education in Vermont, teaching in Ohio and Tennessee and his life in Mississippi. Also accounts of trips to Canada, Ohio and NC, California, and Texas. Did the person that was going to do the Breedlove book on CD ever get it going? If so, I would like the information on how to obtain a copy. Someone please respond to this. Regards, Linda descendant of Thomas Watkins Breedlove John Breedlove David Anderson Breedlove John D. Breedlove
Just wondering if I am subscribed or not - have not seen anything in a long time from the list. Linda
SususuzeeQ@aol.com wrote: > > Did the person that was going to do the Breedlove book on CD ever get it going? No, I haven't. The "C" partition with Windows on it has crashed with over 400 bad sectors. All of the other partitions on the 9 Gig drive are readable so the genealogy and other data is intact, I just can't run any programs to access it. Have purchased a new 40 Gig drive but the bios on my motherboards will not recognize all of it. Am still awaiting word from the motherboard manufacturer on how to get an updated bios chip that will recognize large drives. Have tried flash programming it with the vendors programs and only succeeded in wiping out the chip entirely. As soon as I get a new bios chip I can format the new drive and transfer all of the data over to it after I install Windows again, which is always a pain. I do have four other machines but none of them has spare space to install and run the large genealogy databases that I have. Until that main machine is fixed I can do little people genealogy. I do get online everyday and do searches but all of the data collected on the web is just stacking up on the floor waiting to be input. Found a good program for tracking my boxer's pedigree so I've spent a lot of time on that lately, tracing her back to a lot of the German imported boxer champions and finding over 3300 ancestors and their descendants through various lines. That's the present state of my Breedlove et al genealogy research. Have found a few interesting items that may connect some lines that were not connected before but haven't been to the library this year to check anything out. Tom King
