To this union was born Mollie, Celia Ann, and Edwin T. Edwin M. Whitehead, while at home from the Civil War died 5 August 1861 and was buried in Concord Cemetery in Coleridge. His widow later married Jeremiah Bray, Captain in the Civil War. To this union was born Lula." Jeremiah Bray (1812-1894) was the son of Eli Bray (1778-1855) and Mary Cox (1783-1850). Jeremiah's first wife was Elizabeth Lane (1808-1864) the daughter of Abraham Lane (1768-1847) and Elizabeth Siler (1770-1838). The reference to Jeremiah Bray as a Captain in the Civil War is puzzling. I have found verification for all the rest of the information in the foregoing paragraph, but not the reference to Jeremiah as a Captain in the Civil War.
