Dorie & BRAY-L, I am fairly sure that I have your Andrew Jackson BRAY in my GEDCOM. Andrew Jackson BRAY s/o Edmund "Edward" BRAY & Elizabeth SULLIVAN b. 4 Aug 1837 Lee Valley, Hawkins Co. Tenn d. 2 Nov 1917 Clinchport, Taylor Dist., Scott Co. Virginia m. 1) 5 Sept 1856 Susan Elizabeth ANDERSON 2) 11 Nov 1866 Mary Elizabeth LIVINGSTON 3) 4 July 1889 Elizabeth Victoria MORRISON This Edmund "Edward" BRAY s/o Patrick BRAY & Mary STOCKS Patrick BRAY b. bet. 1755-1765 Orange Co. Virginia d. ca 1829 Claiborne Co. Tennessee m. 26 Oct 1726 Orange Co. Virginia Mary STOCKS d/o Thomas STOCKS. Mary had at least one brother named William STOCKS. This couple did reside a time in Wilkes Co. NC and given my STUBBLEFIELDs came out of Wilkes Co. NC as well. Patrick's son Thomas BRAY married into my STUBBLEFIELD family (to Mary "Molly/Polly" STUBBLEFIELD McVEY the widow of Thomas McVEY. There is a good chance the STUBBLEFIELDs and this BRAY family migrated together, or knew each other in NC prior to Tenn. This Patrick BRAY is not thought to be of the Henry BRAY m. Marie WILSON or Edward BRAY m. Sarah MAYNARD families. The reason I caught the line into my GEDCOM is a BRAY in Tennessee married into my STUBBLEFIELD family and I just had to track the line down to figure if Patrick connected in or not. To the best of my knowledge he does not. Hoyt & Rose who both descend from Patrick BRAY believe his line to be Irish in Origins and his father would be the Immigrant generation, but I am not sure that is proven at this time. So Dorie let me know if this is your line and I will put you in touch with Rose. I think you descend from the Mary Elizabeth Livingston m. Andrew Jackson BRAY.
