Does anyone have a Charlotte, (Sharlotta), (Sharlotte) Bray married to a Fredrick, (Fred) Bullard in their family tree? They were both born in Germany. I have the birth and death dates if anyone is interested in them. These people are my GGrandparents, and I would really like to know who my ancestors were before them. TN. I am helping someone who lives in Jackson, TN and is researching Colonel David Crockett. He is looking for information on what happened to David Crockett collection belonging to: CURTIS BRAY, reported son of Felix R. Bray of Lone Elm, Henderson Co. TN. Felix R. Bray was former postmaster of Jackson, Madison Co. TN. Felix R. Bray was son of John Bray, of old Lone Elm, Henderson Co. TN. I believe John Bray lived in Decatur Co. TN at one time. Felix R. Bray married Talitha "Kitty" Fuller, d/o James H., s/o Ephriam. They married in Lone Elm, Henderson Co. TN. Information I have: Curtis Bray (1889-1956) Curtis lived in Jackson, TN, and may also have worked and lived in Memphis. He may have been a bachelor. NO WILL and NO ESTATE SETTLEMENT has been found for CURTIS BRAY. Some family of CURTIS BRAY was living in Jackson, Madison Co. TN as of 1935. I surely do appreciate any help or suggestions as person I am helping is at a dead end. Thank you. Linda, CA

What is the earliest Bre/Bray you can identify? My Bre family, Etienne Bre, was born in St. Etienne de Montange, France about 1693 and died in 1774 in Soulange, Quebec, Canada. I show children born to Etienne and his wife in 1726 in Longue-Pointe, Quebec, Canada. I don't know exactly when he came from France to Canada. A lot of my Bre/Bray family were in Soulange, Quebec, Canada. My lineage moved from Canada to Kankakee, Ill. where they were the first white settlers in the area. They then moved to Kansas. Anyway, do you know the parents of Gilbert, or any other information that you can give to me. I may have something that you can use. If so, I will be gald to share it. My interest is in the family of Gilbert Phillip Bre/Bray. He and his wife, Marie Malheur were living in Fond du Lac, WI at the time of his death about 1860. Marie Malheur was then married to Christopher Letourneau, there were children of this marriage. I have been fortunate to have been sent information that shows Marie had 4 children with her first husband, we knew of only 2. I would like to pass on what I have found to any one interested in the surname Bre/Bray of French ancestry who first settled in Quebec, before coming to Wisconsin. Ann Martin grandima@cin.net
When I saw the surnames Brooks and Bray I had to make a comment. :) My great grandfather was (William) Harrison Bray b. about 1873. I do not know his parents nor for sure where he was born. The 1920 census states that he was born in Georgia. On the 1880 Census, Jackson Co Georgia, there is a Thomas and Rosanna Brooks having in their household: Adaline Brooks dau Lanie Brooks dau Harrison Bray son (was he adopted???)(is this my great grandfather?) I couldn't help but wonder if the Brooks and Brays were somehow connected either by marriages or just friends. Wish I had an answer about your Margaret Brooks and this Annie Bray. You never know about connections and especially if my great grandad was really the Harrison Bray listed above. I am awaiting a death certificate on my great grandfather and hopefully it will name his parents. Will let you all know if his father is a James C Bray of North Carolina. :) Donna ----- Original Message ----- From: <sidneyandgary@hotmail.com> To: <BRAY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 23, 2003 1:15 PM Subject: [BRAY-L] Annie Bray - Chatham NC > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5gF.2ACIB/1192 > > Message Board Post: > > Seeking information on Annie Bray, born in Chatham, NC 1879.
