    2. ELIBROOKE
    3. Hi: I am new to the Bray Mailing List. I am wondering if anyone may have information on the following BRAY/MARTIN: BOTH William Martin and John Bray fought in the Revolutionary War, in New Jersey: I have the following information in regards to the Revolutionary War: William Martin enlisted at Lebanon, N.J. in 1779, and served as Assistant Commissary of Issues under Captain McKnight, Commissary General Department, New Jersey Militia; he was at the capture of Stony Point, New York, in 1779, there he served as Assistant Commissary of Issues in 1779 at Pittstown, N.J., and again at Raritan Landing, N.J., under JOHN BRAY Commissary of Issues, until the close of the war. William Martin was born October 10, 1763, in Newark, New Jersey. I have no other information on Judge John Bray at this time. WILLIAM MARTIN was the NEPHEW and ADOPTED SON of JUDGE JOHN BRAY, of NEW JERSEY, who is mentioned above. Obviously these two men were related but I have not been able to go back any further than this, any information, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Elizabeth
