I would appreciate very much hearing about this too. According to family histories on my wife's side of the family (BRAY), her father and grandfather were always known to be a little on the goofy side. We currently have two children that are diagnosed either hyperactive or attention deficit (I think this is a very serious case, not something mild at all), and I noted in the Census records for my wife's g-grandfather that he was noted as being "idiotic" at age 14 (1870 census). If there is a genetic problem or disorder, there may be some anecdotal proof of it here. There was also a very kind researcher who had some information on a Columbus BRAY from Arkansas. I have been trying to get in touch with this person but so far I have had no luck. Anyone with information I would appreciate a response.
About a year ago someone posted to the list about a genetic disorder that occurred within the Bray family. If anyone still has a copy of this I would appreciate it being re-emailed to me. Thank You Brenda

I am seeking information about the ancestry Hannah BRAY, wife of John FREETHY of York ME. She was born in 1660, possibly to John BRAY and unknown. She and John FREETHY (son of William FREETHY and Elizabeth BARKER) had at least three children: Mehitable, Joanna, and Jemima. I believe the family lived in York ME. Hannah BRAY Freethy died 13 May 1729/30. If anyone has information about the ancestry of Hannah BRAY, please contact me. Any promising leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your time! Hi everyone, I'd like to hear from anyone with BRAY connections in Somerset or neighbouring counties. I'm hoping to luck upon my ancestor Richard Thomas Stripling Augustus BRAY, who was possibly born around 1830 and died in England in 1872. Many thanks . . . Bonnie Hickey
Hi everyone! My name Is Neal Bray. I've started a web page dedicated to the ancestors and descendants of John Bray, Sr (1787- 1868). He was born in Delaware in about 1819 he and his wife, Susannah Rebecca Kelley (1791-1871) moved to Perry Co. Ohio. In 1837 they settled in Hocking (now Vinton) Co., Ohio. The descendants are given down to his gggrandchildren. I know of descendants who live California, Montana, Ohio, and Texas. The web page address is www.bray.org. The page is called, "The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brays" and features Maps, original source documents, family group records, biographies, photos, and links to other helpful websites. This site is still being added to and more info will be listed in the future. You're invited to stop by and see if their is any connection between my Bray line and yours. If so drop me a line via e-mail. Thanks! ____________________________________________________________________ Get free e-mail and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1
David, I found some old notes of mine. These are notes I scribbled into Edna Bray Reece's second book, where she gives a brief outline of the Chatham and Randolph County, N.C. Brays. She gives the parents of the following Henry Bray as Henry, b ca 1681, d. 1794, md. to Mary Wilson, Chatham Co, Will dated 1790, Probated 1794. This would make Henry Bray 113 years old when he died. 1 Henry Bray 1742 - 1812 +Sarah (Sally) Yokley - d. I don't see your Caroline's name, but could she have been a descendant of one of the Brays mentioned here? I still haven't looked for the letters that have more information on the Hughes. Hi everybody, I am new to the list and so here is my connection: My gg grandmother, Mary Bray, emigrated from Ireland with her brother Patrick Bray in 1855. She married Daniel Curran about 1857, I think in Pennsylvania, and then settled for good in Clark County, Illinois. There is a James Bray who lived in Clark County at the same time as Mary did, and I think it's her brother. James' father was Bernard Bray, so I also believe he was Mary's father. Does anyone out there have any information that I could use? Joe Kenney Palmer, Alaska
