I just subscribed to the Brady list and would like to know if there is a site where I can read the archives of all past posts? My mother is a Brady born in Arkansas. Her grandfather was John Thomas Brady born in Tennessee in 1842, JTs father is Isaac Newton Brady born about 1815, INs father is Isaac Brady born about 1790. These folks were primarily Tennessee/North Carolina Bradys. JT fought in the Civil War for the NC State troops but never spoke of his having any family. We found names of sibs but nothing else of them. He was second of about 8 children. Hoping to find out more about this family and finding the immigrant ancestor. We went to County Cavan, Ireland hoping to get some insight into the family ties but without an immigrant name, nothing was found. Few records are in the archives there before 1849. We could have searched churches/cemetaries but had nothing to go on. We did find family history/crest/motto and some notable Bradys. Our Bradys were most likely protestant (Anglican?). I can post more details if anyone is interested or has any relatives that we can cross check. Judith Tyler Martin Mother: Lillian Brady Tyler Grandfather: Carl Brady

I am looking for information regarding HENRY ALFRED BRAY, born 27 Oct, 1825, apparently in Connecticut. He lived, for a time in Ohio, where he met and married CAROLYN JANE FULLER, the daughter of Alvah FULLER and Jane PIERCE, sometime around 1848. Around 1852, he moved with his wife and children to Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan. According to his death certificate, his father's name was "Henry Bray". Henry and Carolyn had six children, four of whom died in childhood. The two surviving children were sons, Alfred Francis Bray and Ellsworth Bray. His son, Alfred Francis Bray, married Lora Adelia Grant in Huntington, Lorain County, Ohio in 1878 and they (Alfred & Lora) traveled west to Ojai, California by about 1900. Henry Alfred went out to California to visit his son in the early 1900's (as shown in census) and died there in 1911. Ellsworth Bray remained in Carmel, Eaton County, Michigan, for many years. He and his family, Henrietta Bray and their three daughters, moved for some years to North Dakota, retunring to Eaton County in 1911. He died there on August 31, 1930. Any information would be gratefully received. I know a great deal about their descendents and will happily share. Good luck to all!! I am searching for information on the following John Bray, (born in Warren County, New Jersey about 1783, died 1867 in Brant County, Ontario ) m. Joanna Swayze (born in New Jersey about 1793, died 1854 in Michigan) Moved to Brant County prior to 1830. . Were active members of Methodist Episcopal church. John served as Brit soldier in War of 1812. First son, Israel (my great grandfather) was born in Brant County in 1830 and moved to Clinton County, Michigan around 1855. Twins Benjamin Corwin Bray and Joseph Corwin Bray were born on 26 May 1832 in Ontario and were still alive there in 1870... But I can find no futher information on them. John Bray's father was Richard Bray, born and died in Warren County, New Jersey. Richard fought in the Revolutionary War, but I don't know which side. Probably loyalist. Richard's father (first name unknown) came from Yorkshire in England before the Revolution.
