This is a reply back to a Bratton family in Iowa query. I have information on a William Brattain(1810 to 188) and a Lemmon Bratton/Brattain (1815-1885) that lived in various counties in Iowa such as Van Buren, Henry, Mahaska, Des Moines, Decatur and also in Mercer, Missouri. I believe that these two were brothers. Their father, who I have reason to believe was William Brattain Sr. lived in Wayne Co., Indiana and moved Lake Peoria, IL and then on to Farmington, Van Buren, Iowa. I have tracked down the descendency of these families and am willing to share my information. Betseylee Browning
