There were four brothers who arrived in the early 1700s in Chester County PA from Antrim County, Ireland. Robert married Ann McFarland Dunlap and moved to Augusta County, VA, fought in the Rev War and died; his children then moved further west at least as far as IN. James married a Dorothy Fleming and I believe also moved south to VA. William married a Martha and moved to Rock Hill SC - the only one of the four who moved to SC; his home in Brattonsville was the one shown to be Mel Gibson's in the movie "The Patriot". The fourth brother was Samuel, who stayed in PA and whose children moved to Cumberland (now Mifflin) County, PA. This is the line I descend from through my mother.
