A daughter of the late Benjamin and Leila Stroud Bratton, she was born March 19, 1918 in Dardanelle. She was a member of hte Flat Rock Baptist Church near London. She was the widow of Jock Thomas Parker, and was also preceded in death by two daughters and a son-in-law; Florence and Chuck Sund and Vera Odom; two grandchildren, a brother and five sisters. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Bill and Sandie Parker of Maraposa, California; and Herb and Teresa Parker of London, Arkansas; two daughters and three sons-in-law; Betty and Chuck Maddox of Nevada City, California; Jane and Ron Wood of Pasadena, California; and Bud Odom of Grants Pass, Oregon; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Peggy Bratton of Camden, Arkansas; a sister, Mickey Strickland of Russellville, Arkansas; twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service was Monday, October 30, 2006, at the Flat Rock Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Charlie Bird and the Rev. Ray Brown. Burial was in Brock Cemetery near London by Shinn Funeral Service. Active pallbearers were Arval Lee Parker, Paul Ray Parker, Earl Sanderson, Chris Donnelly, Leon Meimerstorf and Ray Loyd.
