I working on Charles A Bratton who lived in Boone Co. IN. He was born in 1839 in Bath Co. VA . I know that he married Dorothy Burris. In a bio that was published in 1895, he stated his father was John and grandfather was Lewis. Now John was also from Bath Co VA and married to Polly Berry. The bio doesn't list Lewis wife. Charles and wife are buried at Cox Cemetery, Boone Co. IN. John and Polly are buried at Union Hill Cemetery, Walnut Twp. Montgomery Co. IN DATA: John b. 1793 VA d.1866 Montgomery Co. IN Polly b. 1798 VA d. 1848 Montgomery Co IN Charles A. b. 1839 d.1918 Boone Co. IN Dorothy b. 1842 IN d. 1905 Boone Co. IN On OneWorldTree... they state that James was John father not Lewis.
