I am descendant of Robert Bratton b.abt.1736,.who married Betsy Farren. He lived in Coleraine,Ma until about 1770, when they moved to Whitingham,Vt. I asked about the Bratton name at a Highland Games, and was shown a map where the Brattons came from SW Scotland, and the Farrens from just across the channel in Ireland. Does anyone have any further info on family origins?
