I have been doing a great deal of research on my Bratton family and am looking for a match for my William Sr. I have made a timeline of sorts from the genealogy I have collected. Can anyone give me any matches or clues as to what to do next. Time Line for William Brattain Sr. 1780-1790- Birth of William Brattain Sr. in North Carolina abt 1810- Marriage - possibly her maiden name might be Lemmons. 1810- in Indiana- Birth of son William Brattain Jr. 1815- in Wayne Co., Indiana- Birth of son Lemmons Brattain 1816- moved from Indiana to Lake Peoria, Peoria, Illinois 1836- jury member in Farmington, Van Buren, Iowa 1840- appears on the 1840 US Census in Van Buren County, Iowa 1847- does not appear on 1847 Van Buren Co, Iowa census (if born in 1780 he would be 67 years old in 1847 and 57 if born in 1790) Thanks for any help.
