Looking for my gt-gt-grandfather, John Clarkson Brayton's parents. John was born in Albany, Ny on Jul 1838. He and his parents went to Lee Co., IA in 1858, in Iowa they changed their name from Brayton to Braton.... by Nov 1860 he was married to Sarah M. Slingerland. They adopted a 14 year old boy in 1875. Could some one help me find John's parents??? Thank you Anne
