I was born & raised in Holden Bch, NC. (My mother's side is from Marion,SC).Haven't been able to get the history done by his cousins, been doin' it myself for fun..but stumped. I found back to Willim Jasper Bratton married to Mary Catherine Wall who turned out to be from, none other than NC! His Brattons were in Illinois, Kansas, & some moved to California...Shocked to see this Police officer in CA named Bratton on the news...makes you wonder. I was called for a prescription transfer from York, SC & was promptly asked if I were kin to the Bratton's of York County, SC. I replied I married a Bratton and he told me of Brattonsville, SC. All these years 3 hrs down the road & never heard of it. So we stopped by on our way back from a visit to Illinois in March. It was really neat & we got asked again if we were originals. Havent been able to look for that info they said was at the Library center. Anybody got any clues on a William Jasper Bratton.! ..I think he went by Jasper.
