The Thomas Clark and Jane Bratton/Brattain in question grew up in Randolph County, NC, but I have been unable to track them after they left that county. I believe Thomas Clark was a son of Thomas Clark SR of Randolph Co NC and Sarah Clark of Orange Co NC. If I am correct, his sister--also named Sarah Clark--married Paul Bratton, the brother of Jane Bratton. Keeping it all in the family, an aunt of Paul Bratton--Rachel Brattain--married Samuel E. Clark, an uncle of Thomas Clark and his sister Sarah Clark. >
