Listed as half white, and head of a family that consisted of four males under the age of 18, one female under the age of 16, and one female over 18 ( Nelly). She filed an application for bounty land on July 12, 1855, stating that she was the former wife of JAMES COLBERT, who had died about 1843, and was the mother of GEORGE COLBERT, who was born twelve days after his father's death. She later married a BRATTON. A WILLIAM BRATTON appeared on the 1857 - 1860 annuity rolls.
