What I have in my tree is an Elizabeth Bratton who married a Thomas McKinstry. They had a daughter named Jane Rebecca McKinstry who married David Jacobs. David and Jane had a daughter named Carrie who married a Shively and these people were my grandmothers parents, my grandmother married a Rohrer, hence my father. This is on my fathers mothers side so no Rohrer involved here in this spot. There are lots of Rohrers though and we may connect in another area. I have not done enough cousin type work to recognize a Marshell Rohrer.

Bratton Township was named for Andrew Bratton, one of the original settlers. Andrew came to the Bratton Township area circa 1760. I may be able to get a closer date if you need it. My particular branch of the family settled on the border of Bratton and Wayne Townships circa 1770. Unfortunately, I find no record of a George Bratton that would fit your 1820 census information in my own family's history. However, there have been several Bratton families associated with this area. Just an aside noting the similarities in last names, my great aunt Mabel Bratton married Marshall Rorer who died in 1962.
