    1. [BRATTON] I have an new query
    2. Joan Bratton
    3. Hi, >From my previous message I'm now wondering if my husband Robert LeRoy was adopted and not told. This is due to the fact as soon as he passed away my mother-in-law refused to have anything to do with me or my children. Bob was born 18 years after Hilma and Roy was married, so there is another doubt arising. My sister-in-law also refuses to have anything to do with her brothers family. The reasons are not given and therefore the only conclusion I can come up with is the fact Bob was adopted and now he is dead the family are not Brattons. If David Bratton from Ohio is on this list and can add any light to this mystery I would be gratefull. Joan Bratton Australia

    1. [BRATTON] Trying to verify Roy/George Bratton
    2. Joan Bratton
    3. Hi, I'm trying to verify my late father-in-laws name and parents. I can't ask my husband as he has passed away and the rest of the family are not talking to me. Long story. My late father-in-law as far as I'm aware was George Leroy better know as Roy, but the records on the internet that I have found has him as Roy born 1911. His father I think was Harvey George Bratton born 1 May 1890, married Anna May Chaffee. His parents wer Harvey Tuthill Bratton and Jennie Foote. I'm going on memory, but my late husband (Robert LeRoy) told me a bit about the family and that his grandmother was a Chaffee and his g-grandmother was a Foote, so this is why I'm assuming that I'm on the right track that I have the correct George/Roy Bratton. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Bratton Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/FdF.2ACEB/338 Message Board Post: I have been searching for months and I have not been able to find any reference at all to the "Andrew Bratton Abt 1686" from Northern Ireland. Everyone seems to have the same information on Andrew Bratton and there are a couple different versions of his sons, the brothers, from Ireland immigrating to America in the early 1700s. I have not found any reference stating any such information. Does anyone have an actual source that mentions Andrew? I have seen a couple people who had this Andrew confused with a son of James in the U.S. in their notes. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks, JB
