If this is the correct Durcilla, her parents were Benjamin Bratton, Jr. and Martha Cotton. Drucilla ancestors came from North Carolina. First ancestor to arrive in America was John BRATTAIN (1720-1784). His grandson, Paul Bratton moved to Tennessee in the early 1800s and died in HardinCo., Tn in 1858. His son Benjamin Bratton was born in 1815 in Hardin Co., Tennessee and died in 1905 in Searcy Co., Arkansas. Benjamin's son Benjamin Bratton, Jr was born in 1845 in Searcy Co., Arkansas. He fought in the civil war with his three other brothers. There is a book entitled "Family History of our Brattons, Masseys and Martins by Louise Brint Jones which has a detailed history and genealogy of the Brattons.
