I have been searching for the parents of Martha (Patsy) Bratton who married Benjamin Wallace in Christian Co., KY in 1800. I thought she might be the daughter of William and Martha Bratton but have learned that her mother was probably Hannah Bratton. The woman who signed consent for her was definitely not Martha. The document is in bad condition, so the photocopy is even worse, but as nearly as I can tell it was Hannah or something similar. In the bond, she was called Martha Bratton; her mother wrote "Patsy" Bratton. Has anyone seen this family? P. Reeser Henderson Co., KY

I had thought him a casualty of the Civil War. I may be back on the track of Lemuel (or Samuel) Bratton, who was living with his grandfather in AL as a 10 yo in 1850. In 1860 L S Bratton (ca 1839) was living next to his uncle in AR. In 1870 an L S Bratton of the right age (ca 1839 AL) was married to Emily and living in DeKalb Co, AL with a dau whose name started with an L. In 1880 an L S Braton was living with wife M E and children in Hamilton Co, TX. In 1900 a Lemuel Bratton and wife Mary E were living in Hamilton Co, TX. A son was named Alexander. Probable daughter Lona(?) was living next door and married to a Cunningham. Can anyone tell me whether I have correctly followed Lemuel/Samuel or has family naming led me astray.
